There Is No Place Like Home

After a blur of endless days and nights, Riley is home. She now weighs 6 hefty pounds. Her medicine is more stable but her heart remains very sick. She will continue to be closely monitored. Emily is immensely relieved to finally (after 2 weeks) be in the same location as both of her girls. She has only slept about 5 hours in the last 3 days (she is convinced she saw Riley twiddle her thumbs!), and now she can actually lay down in a real bed.

Little Riley has a long road ahead, but she has proven over and over to beat the odds. Thank you for your prayers, love and concern.

Good job Riley! 6 pounds--that's amazing!

Hey--I'm thinking of coming to Houston to visit my bro. I'd love to come see you and the babies and take you to lunch. I'll be in touch. Hope you're doing well (and getting a little sleep now and then!)

She is so adorable and we are so glad she is home and back to gether with keagan. Emily, you are an amazing mother. When I worked in the NICU I would tell the mommies that they must be the best moms in the world to be blessed with the challenges that came with having a baby in the NICU. I still believe that and you are definitely one of those amazing moms.
